We have set up this blog as a communication and reference area for you. We will use it to let you know what is coming up in the course, what and when work is due and to give you feedback on your personal portfolio content.
We will be upgrading the Year 10 course this year to also include an introduction to animation, basic programming, web page creation and a range of Web 2 tools such as blogs, podcasts and wikis to give you a range of basic skills which you can integrate into your other class work. It is hoped that this will encourage you to think seriously about taking IT at senior level and then consider IT for further study at Polytechnics or Universities when you leave school.
We will also trial the use of a blog as a digital portfolio this year rather then keeping a paper based record. Use of a blog means that other people, including your parents or caregivers, can see, and comment on, the standard of the work you produce.
