From Blogs to Wikis

This week we are moving on to a unit called Ergonomics in the Office. During this unit we are researching what you can do, while you are working on the computer, to prevent injury to your body. The choices you make when selecting and setting up furniture and equipment are very important. We will also research other things you can do which will help, these are to do with the way in which you carry out your work.

While completing this unit we are going to learn a different way to carry out our research using a Wiki. To find out what a Wiki is check out the You tube video in the Year 10 Information Management, Wiki Vids folder. What happens is that as you complete your research using mostly the usual methods you will add the knowledge that you gain to a web site which I have set up as well as pictures and graphics which you find. When you have finished researching we will have a whole web site (wiki) of information which you can then use to produce a PowerPoint which will show Mrs Standen and I what you have learned about keeping yourself free from injury.
